Winter is upon us, and we wanted to send an important safety message regarding snowmobiling near the pipeline right-of-way this season.
Pipeline construction this fall has created unsafe conditions for snowmobiling this winter. Construction activities on the right-of-way, in ditches at roads and trails crossing the construction route, and near construction equipment and material storage areas, such as pipe yards, may have created obstructions where you have ridden in previous seasons. Dangerous obstacles may exist under snow cover in these areas, making them difficult to see, especially at night.
For your safety, we ask you to please avoid the pipeline right-of-way and other construction areas during your snowmobile activities this season. Please also alert others who may ride in these areas of the potential risks. Please stay alert to these hazardous conditions. Reflectors and fencing have been installed in ditches and trails approaching the pipeline right-of-way. Please stay alert for these cautionary markers.
If you have any questions regarding snowmobiling near pipeline construction, please feel free to contact us at our toll free number (1-866-410-4356) for more information.
