Over 75 veterans and their family members enjoyed a day of snowmobiling as the guests of Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association and Minnesota Snowmobile Education and Advancement Fund at the 5th Annual Veterans Appreciation Snowmobile Ride on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in Interational Falls..  With 47 degree temps on Thursday and 33 degrees and rain on Friday, the hosts held their breath for cooler temps and snow.  On Saturday morning there was fresh snow on the ground and all were anxious to ride.  The International Voyageurs Snowmobile Club was the host club providing overall support to the event and also providing guides and sweeps for the ride.   The ride is provided as a token of  appreciation to the veterans who have given part of their lives to serve all of us.  Breakfast, lunch, dinner and one night's lodging was provided to the attendees. 

A big THANKS to Arctic Cat for providing 20 snowmobiles and Polaris for 4 snowmobiles for those that did not have them, to the International Voyageurs Snowmobile Club, the Ash River Kabetogama Snowdrifters, VFW Post #2948, AmericInn, Ash Ka Nam Resort, Lenard's and many other local businesses and contributors which are listed below.  All made this ride a GREAT SUCCESS!

Plans are being made for a 2014 ride in Madelia, Minnesota.
