Snowmobile Clubs Host Trail Stops
Statewide Trail Stops Begin January 21st
As a part of International Snowmobile Safety Week and to recognize the work the snowmobile clubs due to provide the exceptional snowmobile trails to the public, clubs across the state will be hosting trail stops on Saturday, January 21st, and on other dates throughout the season. January 21 - Chisago County - The Wild River Snowmobile Club of Chisago County will hold a meet and greet Open House at the club groomer barn half mile West of Palmdale. The barn is located on the trail from Palmdale to Almelund and is right off Highway 95, West of Taylors Falls, East of North Branch. Ride in or stop by via the highway. Trails are currently closed, but with two weeks to go, we will see what old man winter has in mind.
-We will hold it between 11am and 3pm on Saturday January 21, 2012, trail conditions permiting.
-Serving hotdogs, cider, cocoa, chips
-Groomers and trail maintenance equipment will be on display
-Club information will be available as well as many of our club members to answer questions

January 21 - Douglas County - Douglas Area Trails Association will hold a trail stop at the Fire Station Bar and Grill in Garfield from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Free soup or chili for those that arrive by sled.
January 21 - Morrison County
January 21 - Scott County - The River Valley Trail Blazers of Shakopee, Jordan and surrounding area will hold their meet and greet at trail marker 17 of the Minnesota River Bottoms Trail-that is where trails 1 and 7 intersect. -This intersection is 1 mile west of the Louisvlle Swamp parking area on trail 7 of the Scott County Sno-Trails snowmobile map. -The parking area is a little more than a mile south of hiway 41 on hiway 169 on 145th street.
-We will hold it between 11am and 3pm on Saturday January 21, 2012
-Serving hotdogs, cider, cocoa, chips and giving away free gifts and more
-1 of our 3 groomers with drag will be on display with some of our drivers as well
-Club information will be available as well as many of our active club members to answer questions
