Delano Snowstormers Snowmobile Club 2017
Delano Snowstormers, a local non-profit snowmobile club, originally started in the early 70’s continues strong and active in 2017!
There are 52 memberships (family and individual) and are members of the Wright County Snowmobile Association, Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association, Delano Area Chamber of Commerce, and has DNR-Certified Youth Snowmobile Safety Instructors.
Club members perform extensive trail maintenance each spring and fall, build and repair bridges, install signage, create and reroute trails, maintain equipment and support necessary trail projects throughout the year. Groomer drivers manage grooming responsibilities for 45 miles of trails with a Wright County Snowmobile Association groomer operated and maintained by Snowstormers, and use a club-owned small groomer for in-town trails. A well-kept club shelter is nestled in the woods along the scenic trail route for snowmobilers to enjoy a break from their ride. Snowstormers appreciate and respect landowners’ private properties as they permit use of their land for snowmobiling. The club takes pride in keeping trail systems maintained and safe for all to ride.
Snowstormers host an annual fundraiser in December, conduct youth snowmobile safety training every January, organize special club events, participate in community events and schedule club rides as trail conditions allow.
Come to Delano/Wright County and enjoy the snowmobile trails! Trail maps are available at local businesses throughout the County.
New members are always welcome! Club meetings are held the second Monday of each month at the Delano American Legion, 7:30 p.m. For more information call 952-955-2894 or visit delanosnowstormers.com.
