MnUSA WILL WORK FOR YOU!
WHY PARTNER WITH MnUSA?
Partnering with MnUSA gives local snowmobile clubs and trail associations a unified state-level backing. Local clubs and trail associations handle the hands-on work—clearing brush, signing, and grooming over 22,000 miles of Minnesota trails—while MnUSA provides the legislative representation, administrative structure, and statewide coordination needed to sustain those efforts.
KEY BENEFITS OF PARTNERING WITH MnUSA
UNIFIED LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY & LOBBYING
-
Dedicated Legislative Representation: MnUSA maintains a full-time lobbyist at the State Capitol to monitor bills, advocate for pro-snowmobiling legislation, and block regulations that threaten trail access or land use.
-
Protecting Trail Funding: MnUSA works directly with lawmakers and government agencies to protect and grow the Minnesota Snowmobile Trails Assistance Program (Grant-in-Aid). This state funding supplies essential reimbursements for club grooming and trail maintenance.
-
Strength in Numbers: Individual clubs have a local footprint, but MnUSA pools thousands of riders across the state into a single political voice.
Lawmakers and state departments pay far closer attention to a statewide organization than to isolated local groups.
ADMINISTRATIVE & ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT
-
Regional Connection: MnUSA is divided into 9 regional districts with dedicated Region Directors who serve as liaisons between local club issues, DNR policies, and state regulations.
-
Best Practices & Compliance: Navigation of non-profit status, 501(c)(3) filings, state exemptions, tax requirements, and DNR paperwork is streamlined with guidance and resources provided through MnUSA network knowledge.
PUBLIC RELATIONS & RIDER RECRUITMENT
-
Member Growth & Awareness: MnUSA serves as a central directory for riders looking to join local clubs, funneling new members, volunteers, and funding back to affiliate clubs.
-
Statewide Economic Voice: MnUSA promotes the economic value of snowmobiling—which generates over a billion dollars in state revenue annually—helping local clubs demonstrate their value to local county boards, landowners, and business sponsors.
SAFETY, EDUCATION, & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
-
Youth & Safety Certification: MnUSA supports local club initiatives that deliver youth and adult safety certification courses across Minnesota.
-
Partnering Funds & Programs: Affiliation connects clubs to affiliated organizations like ACSA (American Council of Snowmobile Associations), ISMA (International Snowmobile Manufacturers Assocation), ISC (International Snowmobile Congress), and more!
